Skip-Restricted Items

Most household and business waste can be disposed of in a skip, which includes standard garden and construction waste. Certain types of waste and rubbish are skip restricted items – prohibited or restricted and unless agreed in advance, must not be placed in a skip. Such items include the following:

• Asbestos

• Large Electrical Appliances

• Solvents

• Plasterboard

• Batteries

• Flourescent Tubes

• Medical Waste

• Vehicle Tyres

• Mattresses

• Sofas

• Carpets

• Wagon Tyres

• Gas Bottles
